April/May 2016 Update

Throughout the year many people visit Uganda as part of a team on a Development Support Programme.

Teams stay at the Care for Uganda accommodation block at Bbowa in Luwero district.

Rooms are basic but adequate. They have an ensuite shower room and solar electricity.

alt

The five rooms each accomodate up to three people.

If you are interested in joining a team please contact us for further information.

Teams visit some of the areas where Care for Uganda work including the slum area of Katongole in Kampala.

At the acommodation block we have running water. For most other people in Bbowa their lives have to include daily trips to collect water.

Samuel is on our sponsorship programme and is lucky to have been given a water barrel which can be rolled along rather than carried. He is delighted with this.

Many schools are poorly resourced so when Care for Uganda has money, resources are bought for the more rural schools.

Malaria is the number one killer in Uganda. Care for Uganda has an ongoing project to provide mosquito nets particularly for young children.
