March 2016 update

March 2016

Care for Uganda are delighted to be working in partnership with Luwero boys school. Although it is called Luwero boys school it is, in fact, a mixed school with over 1000 pupils.

Herbert, one of the children on the Care for Uganda sponsorship programme, attends this school. Herbert is deaf with no speech.

At Luwero boys school there is a special unit for children like Herbert and children with other special needs. On the last trustees visit to Uganda it was felt that the special needs classroom lacked space and would also benefit from a sensory area which would be particularly useful for children with autism.

Thanks to a very generous donation by Roger Gingell we are in the process of building this new facility for the school.
