November/December 2015 update

The work of Care for Uganda continues to progress.

Plans are well in hand for the start of the next round of training of Village Health Teams. This will be in Kamira sub-county and starts in January 2016. During the recent visit to Uganda we met with the staff at the health centre where this training will take place.

As always we need more sponsors in order to be able to take more children onto the Care for Uganda child sponsorship programme. Sponsorship enables children in primary education to receive school fees, uniform, scolastic materials and food during term time. It enables children in secondary or vocational education to receive money towards their fees. If you don't already sponsor, is this something you could consider?
Congratulations to Dr. Esther Flavell, consultant anaesthetist, and member of FLOW (Friends of Luwero), the health wing of Care for Uganda. Esther has been awarded a 'going the extra mile award' by Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board. This award is in recognition of Esther's charity work with Care for Uganda.
